What makes a ‘good day at Carnival UK’ is different for each of us. One colleague might be looking for financial advice, or ways to improve their physical health. Another may need guidance on providing the right mental health support for a team member.

This month we wanted to remind you about some of the wellbeing resources available here at Carnival UK. From in-person mental health support, to discounted fitness memberships.

Making sure you have a good balance of the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ will also help you to be your best self, both in and outside of work. Read about our 5 ways to wellbeing here, and watch the video below to find out more.

Wellbeing support at Carnival UK

  • Mental Health First Aiders – At Carnival UK, Our Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) and Champions are all colleagues who’ve volunteered their time to take on the role of listening and signposting people to support when they need it. Our MHFAs have all completed an accredited MHFA England course and are equipped with skills to lead confidential mental health colleague conversations
  • Tranquil Tides is a quiet corner of Carnival House where you can go to reflect, take a moment, and disconnect from your day. Our Mental Health First Aiders also use the corner to have wellbeing conversations with colleagues who may need support. It’s a ‘no laptop and no meeting zone’ and a dedicated space for colleagues to use to take a moment if they need it.
  • Health Hero is our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). Health Hero provides counselling, support and practical information for whatever problem you or your immediate family are facing. It’s free to use and the service is available 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
  • Good Day at CUK page – Visit the wellbeing hub for useful links, guides, tools, and information to help you have a #GoodDayatCUK.
  • Discounted membership at The Quays, Southampton – Book an annual membership for £250.00 (usually £350.00) or monthly membership for £29.95 (usually £35.00). Just show your work pass to get the offer.
  • More Wellbeing Benefits – Take a look through the CUK benefits guide to see if you’re making the most of the health & wellbeing benefits available to you as an employee – from our Cycle to Work Scheme to the Digital GP.
