We’re proud to make a difference with our
Charity Partnerships

Carnival UK is proud to support its brands well-established charity partners, The Princes Trust, and Teenage Cancer Trust. Discover how we’re working together with our partners to leverage outreach, make a difference, and grow together in our mutual commitment to evolve sustainable social change.

The Prince’s Trust supports disadvantaged young people to overcome personal, academic and social barriers to achieve their potential and stabilise their lives. They have helped more than 1 million young people across the UK and on average, support over 800 young people in the Hampshire area every year.

As well as supporting The Trust with crucial fundraising, we work with local teams to offer employability workshops on board and at Carnival House to equip young people with the skills and confidence to enter the travel industry, opening up a wide range of careers on land and at sea.

Every day in the UK, seven young people aged 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing the dedicated nursing care and support staff, to teenagers and their families.

With Teenage Cancer Trust’s specialist hospital ward at Southampton General Hospital just 15 minutes away from Carnival House, supporting the charity provides a brilliant opportunity to bring colleagues together for a cause close to home. P&O Cruises partnered with Teenage Cancer Trust in 2015.

Donate a day

We’re passionate about providing great opportunities for our colleagues to get involved with our charity partners, that’s why we provide all colleagues with one day of paid volunteering/fundraising every year.

You can use your day to support one or both of our charity partners by volunteering your time or organising a fundraising activity. Where possible we encourage volunteering/fundraising days to be spent with colleagues completing activities together.

Once you’ve decided how you’d like to spend your volunteering/fundraising day, please speak with your line manager to get approval. You’ll also need to submit a request via myHR Portal to make sure your volunteering/fundraising activity is logged. Please go to myHR Portal > Leave and Attendance > Add Absence. Then select ‘Paid Leave’ and ‘Time off – Charity volunteering’ from the ‘reason’ drop down menu.

If you’re fundraising, we’ll need you to set up a JustGiving page. Please email your fundraising link to charity.committee@carnivalukgroup.com so we can track our collective efforts.
