This February, we’re focusing on ways we can connect with others to improve our wellbeing – one of five things you can do to stay mentally well. Whether that’s talking to someone new, having a conversation in person instead of an email, or putting five minutes aside to find out how someone really is.

Can you find a Mental Health First Aider?

At Carnival UK, Our Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) and Champions are all colleagues who’ve volunteered their time to take on the role of listening and signposting people to support when they need it.

In February, take a photo with either a Mental Health First aider or Mental Health Champion – this could be in person, or over a Teams chat – and send it to OHS@carnivalukgroup.com for the chance to win a wellbeing goody bag!

We’ll select a winner at random on Tuesday 28 February. Good luck!

It’s good to talk
A great big thank you to those of you that joined us on Time to Talk Day to meet some of our Mental First Aiders and Champions at Carnival House. Here’s a photo of some of the group from our first session enjoying a conversation and some cake!

We’re here if you need us

A Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) is someone who’s completed an accredited MHFA England course and is equipped with skills to lead confidential mental health colleague conversations, alongside raising awareness, reducing stigma and discrimination, and engaging our people in positive mental wellbeing so we can all have a good day at Carnival UK.A list of our MHFAs and how to contact them is available here.
