From physio masterclasses with experts to help with your posture, to ‘Walking Wednesdays’, find out more about what’s on at Carnival House over the next month to help you get moving, look after your body, and be active – one of our 5 ways to wellbeing. 

What’s on?

Join our lunchtime physio masterclasses, 12:00 – 14:00 on 9 May (in Rotterdam Room) and 15 May (in New York Room). You can also join them online. 

The sessions will include: 

  1. Headaches & Eye Strain in Computer Users: 12:10 – 12:40
    Learn about the different types of headaches and common triggers for each before focusing in on headaches caused by prolonged computer use.
  2. Upper Back & Neck Pain: 12:45-13:15
    Pain in the upper back and neck is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions seen in clinic. This education session aims to teach you how it occurs and what you can do to help if you find yourself suffering from pain in these areas.
  1. Chair Adjustments: 13:20 – 13:50 (includes chair demos and questions)
    Are the levers under your chair a complete minefield? Learn what they do and why they are important in this 30-minute session on how to adjust your work chair to suit you.

We’ll have a physiotherapist on site offering advice on posture and movement too. We’ll be walking round the office but if you want a special visit, please email us on and we’ll schedule a good time to see you.

WIN! We are also hosting an interactive desk competition on both days – 12:00-14:00 – Come down to the Atrium and set up our desk correctly for the chance to WIN a wellbeing prize bundle.

Walking Wednesdays are back!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our first Walking Wednesday on 1 May!  Why not join the Wellbeing Team for one of our next walks on 29 May, 12 June and 26 June? Meet us in reception to take part in a 3km/5,000 step walk around Southampton walls and back to Carnival House. We look forward to seeing you there!
