Here at Carnival UK, together with all brands in our Carnival family, we’re taking action to reduce our impact on the environment and invest in our communities and people to deliver positive change – not just for today, but for the long term.

On a recent call to St. Kitts, colleagues on board P&O Cruises Britannia partnered with the St. Kitts Tourism Authority to conduct a beach clean on Irish Town beach. The team of 20 crew members collected glass, plastic, household waste, clothing, and even a tyre!

Alessio Vanini, Food and Beverage Manager, said:

“We are totally committed to sustainability. This initiative came from the ship’s company, so I think this is something we could implement in the future and on a regular basis. I think it’s a very good initiative in terms of being sustainable, and all the plastic we collected proved that it’s really needed for the future and to save our oceans.”

Check out the photos and video from the day…

Great job, Team Britannia! Thanks to everyone who took part, and thank you to the St. Kitts Tourism Authority for supporting the beach clean and for the brilliant photos and video.
