Today’s the day! Our myHR Portal has evolved with a new look and feel to help make it quicker and easier to use.

So, what’s different?

  • A new and improved search function
  • Consistent design and quick action buttons will make navigation easier
  • An updated directory including printable org charts
  • Notifications preview tiles make it easier to see actions or updates

On 2 December we’ll also launch the new Recruitment & Onboarding functionality. This will replace Jobtrain for shoreside roles and will mean that you’ll be able to see all vacancies across the brands who have adopted the system. We’ll be sharing more on this nearer the time.

So, here’s what we’ve changed based on your feedback:

You said Improvements
You found it generally difficult to use There’s a new and improved search bar.  There will also be quick actions based on most used functions and a back button in some areas.
You found it difficult to find your benefits It’s easier to navigate and view and change benefits
You like different ways to learn The Change Champions will be providing short training sessions on different parts of the system.  We’ve consolidated and simplified our Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
You were unable to print organisation charts You’ll be able to print organisation charts from the system
How does myHR portal link with finance We’ve been working closely with Finance to ensure there’s a greater link with the financial planning process. This means it will be easier to manage your budgets and follow a combined process rather than two separate ones.
You were unsure of what reports are available or how to access them We have reviewed and improved the reports available and will be providing training on the reports function.
For performance and goals, the process has been too time consuming We agree that the focus needs to be on the conversation rather than the process and with that in mind we simplified the mid year and year end form with less mandatory fields.

myHR portal will continue to be improved.  The next planned update will be early next year.

To help you get used to the changes our Change Champions will be delivering training in their own departments from 21 October.  You can find out who your Change Champion is by going to Ask HR > Shore HR > myHR portal > Change Champions.  Look out for more information in your own area.

Our Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) will also be updated and available on the Bridge through Ask HR.

We hope you find the changes useful and we’ll be continuing to look at your feedback to see how we can make the system work better for you.
