The Cruise Ship Interiors Awards celebrate the very best of cruise design and this year it was all about spaces onboard and the products used to create them. We nominated Green & Co., on Arvia, in the category ‘Best Fine Dining – Large Ship’ and are pleased to share that we were winners!

The voting was open to the public and the winners announced at a ceremony on 30 November at the Cruise Ship Design Expo Europe. The judging panel comprised of industry experts with vast experience across cruise interior design and they reviewed each entry and selected the finalists for a public vote.

The new build team at P&O Cruises worked alongside Partner Ship Design on the design of this venue to create ‘Green & Co. feat. Mizuhana’, a new dining concept, exclusively on Arvia. The restaurant and its dishes reflect the growing trend in vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian dining by offering guests exquisitely crafted fish and plant-based dishes. Alongside succulent sushi prepared and served by a genuine sushi master, the aim was to alter guest perceptions about plant-based dishes by serving creative and intricate plant-based delicacies, alongside original food and drink pairings.

The goal behind the design was to provide guests with exceptional dishes in a fun, lively and immersive multi-sensory experience where guests could be offered a choice of dining at the sushi bar to watch the expert sushi chefs at work or be seated at tables to enjoy the views out to sea. Working with cruise ship design experts, Partner Ship Design (PSD), the restaurant concept was to be inspired by a Caribbean coral reef. The restaurant itself is a bold blend of coloured glass, enticing patterns and modern furnishings offering guests an elegant, light, airy and informal dining space during the day with a distinctive, sophisticated atmosphere at night.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
