Today we’ve launched our Cunard and P&O Cruises upgrade programme – giving all eligible guests the option to upgrade to unsold cabins or staterooms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our guests to experience enhanced unforgettable holiday happiness. In turn we can make use of unsold cabins or staterooms to maximise our occupancy, revenue and onboard spending.

This programme is being rolled out across the Corporation and is already generating substantial increases in revenue through our other brands and is a fantastic step forward in progressing our return to strong profitability at Carnival UK.

How does it work?

Eligible guests will receive an invitation to upgrade 84 days before they’re due to sail for P&O Cruises and 80 days before for Cunard. If they choose to participate, they’ll be taken through an online journey where we provide guidance on cabin/stateroom upgrade options, price and allow them to make an offer on a slider that shows them where in the range their offer is.

Once submitted, all offers from guests and employees are evaluated equally around a month before the date of sailing and successful guests are contacted to make payment.

Who’s eligible?

This  is currently available to all direct guests as well as employees on Employee Discounted Cruises or through Friends and Family offers. As an employee you can make an offer on eligible cabin or staterooms including suites on P&O Cruises and Queens Grill (excluding grades Q1 to Q3) on Cunard and you’ll receive your email invitation and offer consideration in the same way as other guests. 

The first of these offers will be going out to guests and employees over the next few days but please note you wont be able to use your employee discount on these.
