Wallace & Gromit are P&O Cruises newest recruits – as the Chief Ideas Officers on Arvia!
If you’ve travelled on one of P&O Cruises family friendly ships recently, you may have spotted a few familiar faces around the ship in the form of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep!
These lovable Aardman characters have been delighting guests with bespoke activities and ‘meet and greets’ and now Wallace & Gromit have signed up for a whole new challenge on Arvia.
From February 2023, Arvia’s SkyDome will be home to the first-of-its-kind, Wallace & Gromit character costume show, ‘All Hands On Deck!’. With the help of their energetic team, the Big Ideas Crew, Wallace & Gromit set the audience the task of charging up the ship’s ‘Big Ideas-O-Meter’ by coming up with their own Big Ideas. The Big Ideas Crew, wanting to make a big impression on their heroes, share two madcap ‘Big Ideas’ with the audience: The Cruise-O-Matic and the Handy Pocket-Sized Remote Control, with hilarious results.
In preparation for the new show, the P&O Cruises Entertainment Product Development Team have been working with Aardman to produce a cracking marketing package, which includes Wallace & Gromit in P&O Cruises officer uniform.
Aardman model makers have created a special diorama model of Wallace & Gromit out on deck in their uniform which is currently on display in the Atrium at Carnival House – as shown here with Cat Kennedy and Phil Yeomans from the team. The diorama is soon to be installed on Arvia, so make sure you grab the chance to see it before it goes!
