Last week our Charity Partnership Team (CPT) donated their time to CUK charity partner, Monty’s, to give the active community hub a much needed refresh.

Some of the team spent the day painting the inside and external communal areas of Monty’s head quarters in Sholing and left the place looking lighter and brighter. Spending time at Monty’s also allowed the team to fully engage in the day-to-day activities hosted at the site, seeing first hand the impact the charity has on the local community through the work they do.

Omotunde Haynes, Charity Partner Consultant  for the team described it as:

A super volunteering day, seeing how much Monty’s mean to the local community.

Monty’s Bike Hub Manager, Josh Allen, who visited Carnival House in July, was very grateful to the team for spending the time to transform a space that feeds into so much of the work they do.

Thanks so much to volunteers for spending a day repainting our community hub. We like to keep the space looking fresh and looking good so it can be used well by the community and so we’re really grateful to the team for enabling this to happen. – Monty’s Bike Hub Manager, Josh Allen

The team were covered in paint but managed to get most of it on the walls!

From left two of the Monty’s team, Tammy Oliver and Kel Elsey worked hard with our Charity Partnership Team volunteers, Sarah Earing, Emma Stevenson, Katrina Flynn and (front) Omotunde Hayes.

If you have an idea for fund-raising or you’d like to use your volunteering day to help Monty’s out with gardening, painting, building or biking, please speak with your line manager and get in touch with the Charity Partnership Team here to set a date.

Monty’s is an amazing local charity and I would definitely recommend giving up one day to volunteer. You won’t regret it and you’ll definitely have fun. – Project Support, Katrina Flynn

Don’t forget you can stay up to date with all things Monty’s by following their social channels.
