We want Cunard to set the benchmark for luxury travel and to support us in achieving this. We encourage you to sign up to the White Star Service Academy training to support in consistently delivering the highest standards of personal service, to respond to future growth opportunities and a changing luxury marketplace, and to deliver standard setting service which is key to Cunard’s future success.

What is White Star Service?

White Star Service is the name of Cunard’s service programme that looks to consistently deliver the highest standards of personal service. It’s a programme that covers everything from recruiting the right talent to training the skills required and providing the ongoing development and recognition to our people. Your role in delivering excellent service is key to Cunard’s future success.

What is the White Star Service Academy?

Cunard’s values define the behaviours and actions that are desired in everything our colleagues do.

And this all begins at the White Star Service Academy where Carnival UK colleagues are trained to provide impeccable service through a series of nine engaging and interactive workshops hosted at Carnival House.

If you work with Cunard in any capacity, then please do sign up to our White Star Service Academy where you’ll work towards achieving your White Star Service Pin and qualifications accredited by the Institute for Customer Service (ICS).

You’ll deep-dive into how our outstanding White Star Service gives our guests unparalleled experiences, and you’ll understand how we should live and breathe our values in everything we do.

How do I earn my White Star Service Pin?

Proudly wearing the White Star Service Pin shows you’re dedicated to delivering White Star Service to our Guests, to your colleagues and to yourselves, through our four values.

Once you’ve successfully completed the White Star Service Modules below, you’ll be presented with a pin from a Senior member of the Cunard leadership team.

  • White Star Service performer (part 1)
  • Building excellent guest relations
  • Recovering service brilliantly

Want to earn your ICS certificate?

For those who’ve already earned your White Star Service pin, you’ll have the opportunity to complete the additional modules, which are accredited by the Institute of Customer Service (ICS):

  • Building excellent guest relations
  • Recovering service brilliantly
  • Diversity, equality and Inclusion
  • Disability Awareness
  • White Star Service Performer (part 1)

After successful completion of the ICS modules, you’ll receive the officially recognised ICS Certificate, a great addition to evidence your commitment to top customer service.

When and where will the workshops be?

Due to the interactive nature of the workshops each training session will be hosted as a face-to-face presentation at Carnival House. Head over to The Cove to check dates, times and location and book your place as soon as possible.

Spaces on the programme are limited and will require a minimum of eight colleagues to go ahead. To sign up, log into The Cove and in the library you’ll find White Star Service Academy, where you can enrol onto the workshops. Please check with your Line Manager where appropriate.

For our CCO colleagues – Your resource planning leads will sign you up to the workshops as and when required. For further support and assistance on this training please speak with your resource planning teams.
