Thank you to everyone who volunteered to spread festive joy to P&O Cruise Guests at the Southampton Cruise terminals this December. Your efforts to provide a warm, friendly, and cheerful welcome to our Guests were very well received and helped us get our festive cruises off to the best possible start.
More than 85 volunteers from across the organisation attended eight embarkations (and two disembarkations) over 22 days, many of them giving up their Saturdays and Sundays to be part of the programme. Stationed in the terminals, and onboard throughout the ships, volunteers gave out chocolates, helped direct Guests, and added that little bit of extra SHINE to people’s holidays.
As part of our efforts to continually improve the experience of our Guests, as well as make sure we’re offering our volunteers the best support during this programme, we’d love to get feedback from those that volunteered. We’ll be emailing you out a link – so keep an eye on your emails!

Ah! I did Oceana and all the Guests that I spoke with seemed in the festive spirit even with the delay! It is a great opportunity to get out there and speak with Guests when your role isn’t usually Guest facing, I would certainly recommend and I hope to make it a hat-trick to do it again this coming Christmas!
