Laura Stone, Princess Cruises’ Senior Marketing Manager, won the prestigious ‘Tomorrow’s Travel Marketing Leader’ accolade at the recent Travel Marketing Awards. Laura was commended for a number of successes within the last 12 months, including driving a 27% year-on-year increase in bookings via princess.com.

She was praised on the night by Suzanne Korff, Princess Cruises’ Director of Marketing Communications, who singled out Laura’s ‘creativity and tenacity…and demonstrating all the qualities tomorrow’s travel marketing leader requires’.

Princess was also presented with the ‘docusoap’ award for its PR and marketing campaigns that promoted the three series of ‘The Cruise’ TV documentary which aired last year. The documentary appeared on ITV with the three series set in the Mediterranean, Alaska and the Caribbean. A total of 12 episodes were broadcast, each for 30 minutes, and averaged over 4m viewers with audience share peaking at 16%.

P&O Cruises was awarded third place in the ‘Direct Marketing’ award for its Moments Magazine, while Cunard was runner-up in ‘Consumer Press Advertising’ for its ‘Everything else is just a cruise’ campaign and also took third place in the ‘Brand Relaunch’ category.
