A huge well done to the P&O Cruises Marketing team who recently hosted a Carnival House bake sale (with a twist) to raise money for our official charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust.
For a bit of friendly competition the team were split into two and tasked with the exciting challenge of creating a selection of tasty treats that they thought would be most popular with Carnival UK colleagues … picture Great British Bake Off meets the Apprentice.
After a lot of fun brainstorming, The Bake Well Tarts and The Ship Hot Bakers were formed. Some of the team channeled their inner Mary Berry to bake their chosen recipes in our very own development kitchen. While other members got creative with promotional materials, naming their creations and designing stands.
The next day, The Bake Well Tarts and The Ship Hot Bakers went head-to-head at Carnival House to see who could raise the most money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Congratulations to The Bake-Well Tarts who were crowned the winners of the day, with their bakes deserving of a Paul Hollywood handshake. Both teams collectively raised a fantastic total of over £650.
