Million Makers is back, and we’re pleased to introduce you to this year’s team – hoping to raise £30,000 for Cunard’s charity partner, and one of CUK’s chosen charities, The Prince’s Trust.

Million Makers is an innovative entrepreneurial challenge which sees teams of employees, from organisations across the UK, competing to raise as much as possible from an initial seed funding investment. The challenge collectively raises over £1 million every year to change the lives of young people across the UK.

This year’s team have set themselves the challenge of raising £30,000 from a range of internal and external events hosted across the year in Carnival House, online and across the fleet. Let’s meet some of them:

Sian Jolly, Deployment Analyst I joined the Cunard Million Makers team to be able to meet and collaborate with new people across the business for a good cause! Looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish as a team, harnessing everyone’s strengths. My main focus is ensuring our goal is kept front of mind, through my role as co-chair, with the support of all of you in Carnival House.

Emma Davis, Revenue Analyst, Managing QA EuropeJoining Million Makers was an opportunity to be part of a team effort to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust, while also meeting new people and enhancing business skills. I’m most looking forward to being an active participant in Million Makers, where I can channel my team spirit and competitive drive to maximize fundraising and make a difference for young individuals needing support.

Claire Atkinson, Guest Experience Planning and Events ExecutiveI wanted to join Million Makers as I had such a great experience back in 2017 and wanted to join a new team for a new challenge. It is a great way of working with others from across the business and the fact that you are raising money for The Prince’s Trust and such a worthwhile charity, it makes it even more meaningful.

Georgia Hollis, Trade Loyalty Partnerships Executive – I wanted to join the Cunard Million Makers team to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust, while also meeting new people within the business. I’m most looking f- orward to being a part of a great Million Makers team filled with so many creative individuals, where I can learn so much from everyone, gain valuable skills and make a difference for individuals and entrepreneurs needing support.

Jenna Whorton, Category Manager, Marketing, Brand Partnerships, PR & Events, EntertainmentI am really honoured to be part of 2024 Million Makers. I am looking forward to collaborating with teams across the business to support a fabulous cause and deliver exciting fundraising opportunities.  I am excited to develop new skills and grow existing ones within a great team.

Audrey Hobby, Senior Training ExecutiveIt’s a real honour to be part of Cunard’s 2024 Prince’s Trust, Million Makers Challenge. I’m loving working with such a dynamic team, full of people who want to make a positive difference. After my idea of a dog photoshoot on board Queen Mary 2 was met with a few raised eyebrows, I’m excited to support other equally exciting ideas together with the team. Watch this space to find out how you can be part of the challenge too.

Stay tuned! Next week we’ll be introducing you to the rest of the team and sharing more over the coming months about how you can get involved and support the team to hit their target.
