Russian Alvaro, Queen Victoria – White Star Service
In January 2022, when covid procedures were still in place, Russian took the lead, thanks to his firm understanding of covid procedures, often correcting, coaching and prompting his colleagues to carry out tasks safely. He guided them through busy and quiet times with an open mind, allowing for suggestions. Russian worked tirelessly to deliver food, drink and other items to guests in isolation and support his colleagues in the medical centre. He is always positive, proud, happy and dedicated to his job. Many of our guests have expressed their appreciation of Russian and his team. At all hours the Q&I team provided safe routes and followed procedures through difficult times. While it was a team effort, Russian stood out among the crowd and showed great leadership skills. Congratulations, Russian!
Angelo Aspa Sr., Queen Elizabeth – Culture Essentials
Angelo is committed to bringing our culture essentials to life and is specifically respectful of the environment. This is a centric part of his daily role within the waste management team, recycling and offloading waste streams. His communication to all departments, ability and appetite to learn and empower his team are always evident. Angelo has particularly effective communication skills and he has brought various items to senior management’s attention in a timely manner. He is always looking for ways to improve and coaches those he leads: he understands his team are stronger together and ensures his teams have the tools in which to succeed and pull in the same direction.
