Our CUK charity partner, Monty’s, are busy getting everything ready, to be able to provide gifts for children across our local community this Christmas and we’re looking at ways in which we can help too!

When we read, we can be transported to another place or time, through fact or fiction.  Throughout November we’re asking colleagues to give the gift of travel, adventure, romance, comedy – or any other genre that sparks the imagination, by donating brand new books for children aged between 0-12 years to be given as gifts as part of Monty’s Santa Train event on Saturday 17 December.

How to get involved….

You’ll be able to drop-off your book donations at Christmas Tree Corner in the Atrium from Monday 7 November – Wednesday 30 November. Each book can be gift wrapped in a festive paper of your choice and labelled with the applicable age via the colour coded stickers provided.

We’ve also put together a signup sheet to help us meet demand for different age groups and would be grateful if all colleagues could mark their donations here to help us monitor the appeal’s progress. Once all books have been collected Santa and his festive helpers will then deliver these presents to local children as part of Monty’s annual Christmas event.

The event will be open to all families, so if you’d like to attend be sure to save the date and keep an eye on their Facebook for more on this coming soon.

Fancy helping out?
