Last week it was of course Valentine’s Day and as ever we made the most of things – our ship’s company helping to spread good cheer by hosting their own celebrations.
We caught up with John White, HR Manager – Arcadia and Orla McCreesh, HR Manager – Azura to find out what they’d been up to.
Onboard Arcadia Valentine’s day couldn’t go by without a socially distanced celebration. We held a Valentine’s night which included Karaoke – 15 crew sharing their rendition of their favourite love songs, a raffle and a Valentine’s Day card competition.
The evening started with some very well received street food which was then followed by special Valentine’s day cake – all of which had been created by our talented Food and Beverage team”. – John
Congratulations to Arcadia’s competition winners; Robin Sarmiento (Karaoke winner), Matt Chambers (Karaoke runner up), Rolando Ramos (Karaoke runner up) and Godfrey Patriarcia (Valentine’s Day card winner).
On St Valentine’s Day at dusk Azura too helped to spread the love to all in the Port of Tyne, Newcastle.
We lit up the ship with a big heart and the word ‘love’, all of which was created from the lights of the cabins on board. It took a bit of time and effort for the teams on board to make this happen but it was well worth it to see the end result.” – Orla
Azura also gifted cupcakes to all ship’s company – here’s the senior leadership team working hard to put the finishing touches to the cakes ready before serving them.
