Guidelines
In line with our revised protocols and our ‘living with Covid’ plan, we’re now able to offer eligible crew the chance to welcome loved ones on board through our Fleet Accompanied Travel programme. To help ensure we manage any cases of Covid, there are some guidelines in place:
- Visitors should follow pre-travel guest requirements (P&O Cruises Cruise with Confidence or Cunard Sail with Confidence)
- Visitors will need valid travel insurance for the duration of the trip that covers for Covid-19 related costs in addition to all other cover customarily required for cruise travel and any pre-existing medical conditions. Evidence of cover may be required to be provided.
- All visitors travelling will be tested on embarkation at the terminal and again on day 3 if sharing a cabin with the crew member sponsoring the visit. They will then follow the same crew surveillance programme as their sponsor.
- Visitors can move straight into the crew sponsors cabin they day of embarkation.
- The crew sponsor must be living in a cabin with no shared bathrooms/toilets.
- Visitors should comply with all applicable Covid-19 response level protocols and the following specific precautions.
- Here’s what else you should know:
- Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitisers as instructed.
- There is no restriction to access guests areas from the day of embarkation
- Access to crew areas and use of crew dining areas and recreation facilities (such as crew bars, crew recreation room, crew gym, barbershop etc.) is permitted (COVID level allowing)
- Use of public area venues and recreational facilities is permitted. Visitors may use bars and dining areas alone, or with travelling crew member, but not with other guests or crew.
- Visitors must dine in guest areas only. Sponsoring crew may dine with them, if COVID response level allows deck privileges. Both the visitor(s) and the sponsoring crew member should follow dining requirements in guest areas.
- At crew or guest Covid-19 Level 2, if relatives wish to dine or drink with their crew sponsor then they should order room service or collect food/drink from a designated pick-up location (crew or guest area) and either eat in their cabin or in an outdoor area.
- In the event that a visitor tests positive for COVID while on board, and while sharing a cabin, they will be required to isolate in a separate cabin
