Back in 2023 the P&O Cruises Digital team set out to walk Southampton to Winchester and raise £2000 for our then charity partner, Monty’s. After the teams great success, this year the team came up with a new walking challenge and took on the 15 mile Strawberry trail for Teenage Cancer Trust. We caught up with Gavin Atcheson, Senior Digital Experience Manager who told us a little more about the challenge.

“It’s a real privilege to work for a company that values it’s people donating time to charitable causes and raising money for our official charity partners. As a team we’ve done a few different events over the years but last year was the start of our walking challenges.
This year we knew we wanted to do another walk but somewhere different this time. We found the ‘Strawberry Trail’ which is a circular 15-mile walk running from Botley down through Bursledon, Hamble, then across to Royal Victoria Country Park and back up to Botley.

As well as taking on a challenge to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, completing the walk as a team also gave us the time to bond and get to know some of our new starters a little better too. Another fantastic day of team bonding and laughs and lots of money raised. Plus the weather couldn’t have been better for us given all the rain we’ve had recently.”

Big shout out to all the teams within P&O Cruises Digital for taking part this year including Digital Content & Self-service, eCommerce, CRM & Digital Transformation.
