At Carnival UK we celebrate the diversity of colleagues, encouraging everyone to bring their
whole selves to work. Being free to be yourself means being free to use your voice. That’s why we have built a network of Employee Experience Groups (EEG) across Carnival House to give our people an informal voice to share opinions and experiences.

We need you to help us shape the employee experience at Carnival UK. After all, it’s your experience so you’re best placed to help us improve it.

Our EEGs compliment our eNPS Pulse surveys which help to identify areas of focus, while the EEG will enable people to elaborate on those points in between surveys and share the story behind the data. All feedback will be confidential and communicated to the ELT with the intention of making everyone happier in the workplace and given the unprecedented year we have had to date, this is now more important than ever.

EEG member Evie Fletcher said: “The group is made up of six volunteers from the wider Cunard team, who are eager to help their colleagues’ ideas and feedback be heard by the SLT. The group was initially formed back in November 2019, and since then, due to the nature of covid-19 and the change and uncertainty the pandemic has brought, it has become more important than ever to ensure everyone has a channel to share their thoughts with the SLT. As we have done before, we will be reaching out to your teams to hear your feedback on topics such as motivation, togetherness and working from home. And whilst we may not be able to catch up over a coffee at Carnival House just yet, we are all here to listen to any feedback you may have. You can email, IM or Zoom any of us individually or email employeeexperiencegroup@cunard.co.uk at any time.”

Say hello to our Cunard EEG representatives …

Evie Fletcher – Senior Customer Journeys Executive
I ensure we are talking to our guests and prospective guests at the right time, with the right message and a personalised feel, through both email and post. As a Cunard Employee Experience Champion I hope to represent the members of our team, who may not have the loudest of voices but have extremely valuable feedback, as I know this would have been a useful person to have around when I first joined the team!

Francis Fred – Brand Manager
“Three years of working at sea and my love of a cruise holiday, ignited my passion for product and guest experience development. I am a true Cunarder through and through both in and out of work.  I am an advocate of strong social networks and look forward to being there to listen and support.  Feel free to reach out anytime.”

Peet van de PasSenior Manager, Guest Experience
“With hospitality and people at heart I worked at sea for many years before testing my sea legs on land. As a member of the Guest Experience team I have been working within the Hotel and People Departments at Cunard and various of our sister brands while calling Southampton home for the past five years. ‘Happy crew, happy ship’ is a great saying which not only applies to our colleagues at sea!”

Rona Feyerabend – International Cruise Expert
“I started working for the International Team as a Cruise Expert in 2017. I love talking to guests and agents about the Cunard products and selling the Cunard experience. A good working environment is, in my experience, paramount to being able to enjoy the job and give your best. I hope by being part of the EEG group I can contribute to this.”

Tressa Armitage – Revenue Analyst
“I’m a former international table tennis player, who gave up her racket for Revenue Management, joining Cunard just over a year ago. I analyse demand for our cruises and try to resist adding too many zeros to the price tag! I hope to encourage everybody to share their experiences working for Cunard and to enable changes that make our working lives as happy and productive as possible. As a Psychology and Marketing graduate I’m always people-focused.”

Victoria Burns – Senior Ecommerce Executive
“My role within Cunard is all about providing our guests with the best possible experience online. This passion for providing others with positive, enriching experiences doesn’t just stop at our guests. That’s why I’m thrilled to be part of a group that’s dedicated to listening to all of our colleagues, helping to facilitate positive change at work. “
