Keeping you up to date with where we are at so far in the Microsoft Office 365 deployment for ship and shore…
What’s been happening this week?
This week onboard Ship: We have migrated the SMT and a proportion of Aurora’s crew to Outlook successfully. We’ll continue to migrate Aurora next week and hold a feedback session with the SMY and Crew before starting to migrate to the next ship.
This week Shoreside: So far we have migrated 1000 people to Outlook, with a remaining 750 users to migrate. We held our first post migration change champion engagement session this week, we would really appreciate it if you can complete this form to give us your feedback. We’ll post a recording of the session for anyone who missed it next week.
Action Points Reminder
Fleet: Change Champions – please encourage crew who have a Windows account to attend the training for Outlook. All training dates are shared with all ships weekly, (direct by email) we have a concern that crew may not think they are approved to attend the training. Please can you do what you can to promote crew attending the training offered? SMT are attending – it’s crew that don’t seem to be taking up the training opportunity. We have also asked the SMT to promote the training onboard with Crew.
1) Please ensure your teams are aware of the need to Prepare to migrate to Outlook. Due to the fast roll out – the more people can do to prepare themselves up front the better. As our Technology team prepares to start the move from Lotus Notes to Outlook, there are some actions you’ll need to complete before you’re moved across. These include tasks such as understanding your current mail rules, saving any stationery templates you may have and synching your contacts. To find out what this means for you please read the preparing to migrate to Outlook document available on our Microsoft Office 365 Homepage.
