What’s been happening this week?
This week onboard Ship: Onboard IT’s have saved training material to their ships drive, this means that crew can access training directly from the ship and won’t need to go online.
This week Shoreside: We have nearly finished migrating Outlook to all of the pilot group. There have been some cases where we have needed to further investigate some users set up, and we are working towards migrating those next week. We have started to migrate the main group of users, by order of first name – A-Z. We are now starting to roll out quickly across the rest of the business to make sure everyone’s using Outlook as soon as possible.
Action Points:
1) Please can you reach out to your business area’s (Ship and Shore) and find out if there are any shared mailboxes used in your teams that require more than 20 people to access it. At this time we only need to know of any shared mail boxes that require 20 people or more to access. Please let Tara Mihell @ Tara.Mihell@carnivalukgroup.com know of any shared mailboxes that require 20 or more people to access it by 5pm on Wednesday 20 October.
2) Please ensure your teams are aware of the need to Prepare to migrate to Outlook. Due to the fast roll out – the more people can do to prepare themselves up front the better. As our Technology team prepares to start the move from Lotus Notes to Outlook, there are some actions you’ll need to complete before you’re moved across. These include tasks such as understanding your current mail rules, saving any stationery templates you may have and synching your contacts. To find out what this means for you please read the preparing to migrate to Outlook document available on our Microsoft Office 365 Homepage.
2) Please ensure your teams are aware of the need to do some tasks Post Migration: Find out what you and your teams need to know about post migration here.
3) Share with your Teams that all training dates for Outlook & Teams can be found on the Microsoft 365 Training Page Please encourage your teams to attend the training whilst it is available. There is no need to sign up, anyone can just add the session that suits them to their diary and join via the link below. (The link will also be advertised each week in the Weekly Update.)

4) 365 suite: If you hear of anyone in your team who doesn’t have the 0365 suite yet (and they are not a a member of the QM Refit Team) please email us at: 0365@carnivalukgroup.com. We do get a high volume of emails so please be patient we will respond ASAP.
5) Shoreside Change Champions, there is an engagement session (which should be in your diary) focussing on the capabilities of Teams for Tuesday 19 October – 14:00-15:00.
