Strong friendships and lasting connections are part of what makes life at sea so special, and recently Britannia colleagues came together to show their appreciation for one of their own.
A group of galley chefs from Goa, India, paid a heartfelt visit to Chef De Cuisine Santana Fernandes, who has been unable to work due to medical reasons. The visit was an opportunity to reconnect, offer support and celebrate a colleague whose contribution to the company has touched so many people over the years.

As a mark of appreciation for his remarkable 30 years of service, Britannia’s Senior Management Team arranged for a ship’s plaque and a certificate of appreciation to be presented to Santana. These tokens recognised his loyalty, dedication and the impact he has made throughout his career.
The honours were personally delivered by Executive Chefs Neville Heredia and Anthony Pereira, making the occasion even more meaningful. Their visit reflected the strong bonds shared within the galley team and the importance of supporting one another, both onboard and ashore.
The occasion also serves as a reminder that while ships and itineraries may change, the friendships built through life at sea often last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone involved in making this special visit possible.
