On 26 March, while Britannia was crossing the Atlantic, crew were treated to something a little different – a Pasta Challenge that brought everyone together.
The idea was simple: create a bit of excitement and interaction during the crossing. But what started as a light‑hearted concept quickly turned into a great event.
At the heart of the challenge was a live pasta counter, where our Hotel General Manager and Food & Beverage Manager went head‑to‑head, preparing their own pasta dishes live in front of crew. It was great fun to watch the two different approaches come to life – one sticking to a classic, no‑fuss style, while the other put a more creative twist on their dish.
Crew gathered around to watch the cooking, sample the dishes and share their thoughts, creating a relaxed and lively atmosphere. After plenty of tasting and discussion, the Food & Beverage Manager was crowned the winner.

But as everyone agreed, it wasn’t really about who won. The real highlight was the atmosphere on the day – seeing colleagues come together, get involved and enjoy something a little out of the ordinary. A big team effort went into making the event happen, and it certainly paid off.
Well done to everyone involved. If you’ve taken part in an event recently, or you have some news for us, get in touch by submitting your story, here.
