Important Documents & Supporting Guides:
As we reach the conclusion of the Annual Performance Review Cycle, you may have realised that we’re doing things a little differently to the central HR communications that were shared on Tuesday 3 December.
At this point, we know that everyone within Corporate Shipbuilding has already had a meeting with their manager to discuss their performance. The discussions that need to take place between now and 31 December will be used by your manager to confirm your performance rating and commence discussions on your goals for 2025. Once you’ve had this conversation, your manager will release your end-of-year performance document so you can see their comments.
People Managers
Please ensure that you have checked all team members’ ratings are correct in myHR portal, following the calibration sessions, before you confirm any ratings or release performance documents.
Should you need support sharing and releasing your team members performance documents, please reference the short guide above.
Goal Setting
The discussion on setting your goals for 2025 is essential as it lays the foundation for next year’s performance evaluations. Setting clear and actionable goals will help guide our efforts and ensure alignment with both the corporation’s strategic priorities and Corporate Shipbuilding’s priorities for 2025.
As a reminder, Carnival Corporation’s 2025 Priorities are:
- Ensure each of our world-class brands owns its space in the vacation market by delivering extraordinary experiences tailored to its guests.
- Become travel & leisure’s employer of choice.
- Maintain our commitment to excellence in compliance, environmental protection, and in looking after the safety, health, and well-being of every life we touch.
- Set the pace with the industry’s smartest solutions that deliver on our sustainability roadmap to 2030.
- Rebuild our financial fortress and deliver long-term shareholder value.
2025 Corporate Shipbuilding Goals
In addition to these corporate priorities, we have agreed a number of specific goals with Bill Burke that Corporate Shipbuilding will deliver during 2025, these can be found above (2025 Corporate Shipbuilding Goals). It’s important that everyone takes the time to read and understand these goals and uses them to ensure that their individual goals are informed by them.
What You Need to Do:
- Set your individual goals using the S.M.A.R.T Framework—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This will ensure your goals are clear, actionable, and aligned with both your personal development and organisational objectives.
- Following your end-of-year conversation, enter your 2025 goals in myHR Portal by no later than Friday, 31 January 2025
- As we continue further in our journey of transitioning to an agile way of working, your goals might evolve, it’s therefore important to regularly review your goals during your regular one to ones with your manager.
