Million Makers is back and there’s still time to join the team and raise £10,000 or more for Cunard’s charity partner, and one of CUK’s chosen charities, The Prince’s Trust.

Romy Barton and Evie Fletcher, who have both taken part in Million Makers in previous years, share their own experience of being part of the challenge.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to develop your skills, be innovative and raise your profile, then make sure you register for Million Makers 2024 by Thursday 29 February.

Romy Barton, 2019 Million Makers team

As part of the challenge I got to experience:

  • Being part of a team that raised over £20k for the Prince’s Trust
  • Going to London to pitch for seed money
  • Collaborating with different people across the business to make fundraising events happen
  • Coming up with an idea and bringing it to life (hosting an escape room at Carnival House)
  • Attending an awards night to celebrate completing the challenge which was attended by some famous faces

Romy and the Million Makers 2019 team.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who wanted to be part of something exciting whilst having the opportunity for development and gaining new skills!

Evie Fletcher, 2018 Million Makers team.

The entrepreneurial spirit of our team was amazing, we put on an online auction of Cunard memorabilia, a Gala Evening at the Savoy, Carnival House events and more. Overall, we raised more than £50K for The Prince’s Trust, which is an achievement I am still proud of.

I learnt so much from my team and increased my confidence with event planning, networking, presenting, and budgeting – all of which have helped me with my onward career here at Carnival UK.
