- This Competition is being led by Carnival UK’s Charity Partnership Team from Carnival UK’s registered office at Carnival House, 100 Harbour Parade, Southampton SO15 1ST (Promoter).
These terms and conditions apply to this Competition. By entering this Competition, you will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and to be bound by the same.
The Competition is only open to Carnival UK’s shoreside employees aged 18 or over, excluding members of the Charity Team or anyone who has had direct involvement with the operation of the Competition or facilitation of the Prize. No third-party entries will be accepted.
How to Enter
The Competition will run from 9.00am on Tuesday 28 February 2023 (Opening Date) until 17:00 on Thursday 23 March 2023 (Closing Date).
To take part in this Competition you must:
- Make a donation of at least £5 via this Givestar page, and
- Submit the correct answers to the three Prize Questions by completing the above form.
- Entries must come from your Carnival Plc work email address.
- Each donation of £5 will be classed as one entry to the Competition when submitted with at least one set of correct answers to the Prize Questions.
- Multiple entries are permitted. If you wish to donate more than £5 it is not necessary to answer the Prize Questions more than once.
- The Winner of the Prize will be selected at random from all eligible and correct entries received before the corresponding date.The PrizeThe St. Patrick’s Day prize is:
A 4-night Princess Cruises short-break from Southampton on 15 April 2023 to Belgium & The Netherlands.
Prize Terms
- The Prize Winner will be announced and awarded w/c 20 March 2023.
- The Prize is a cruise for two adults (aged 18 and above) sharing a balcony cabin on the 4-night cruise departing Southampton on 15 April 2023 to Belgium & The Netherlands. Cabins will be allocated to the winner before departure, depending on availability.
- The Charity Partnership Team will notify Princess Cruises of the winner’s name and a member of the Princess Cruises booking team will be in contact to place the booking.
- The Prize includes accommodation onboard as specified above, onboard main meals (excluding specialty restaurants for which an additional charge will apply), onboard entertainment and use of most facilities onboard.
- The Prize does not include transportation to and from the winner and/or their guest’s homes to Southampton, parking, travel insurance, drinks, spa treatments, shore excursions, luggage fees, personal expenses, or purchases made onboard.
- It is the responsibility of the Prize winner to ensure they and their guest have valid passports and travel insurance, meet all required travel requirements, and obtain any vaccinations and visas required to take part in the Prize. The Prize winner and their guest are required to have adequate travel insurance as a condition of travel.
- The Winner will be notified by email to their work email address within 24 working day hours of the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date cannot be entered into the competition.
The Winner and their guest will be subject to Princess Cruises’ booking conditions. These can be viewed at https://www.princess.com/legal/passage_contract/ - The Prize is non-transferrable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
- Should the Prize become unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to use reasonable endeavours to substitute the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if commercial considerations or circumstances outside the Promoter’s control requires. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, the cancellation or restriction of cruises in accordance with any government-issued guidelines.
General
If the Promoter has grounds to suspect any entrant or third party of cheating, deception or fraudulent or unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind (including, without limitation, manipulating the Competition, choice of prize winner(s) or any entry) the Promoter reserves the right (in its sole discretion) to disqualify any entrant, entry or person it reasonably believes to be responsible for, or associated with, such activity. The Promoter’s decision in such matters shall be final.The Promoter reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control.
