At Carnival UK we’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and that they belong – we become better versions of ourselves and do better work when we’re curious, open-minded and accepting of others and their ideas.
In support of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), Carnival UK and Athena (find out more about Athena here) are proud to announce their exciting new partnership with WiHTL (Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure).
Carnival UK is a community of colleagues from all across the globe and it’s vital that our organisational culture reflects this. We’re immensely proud of our diverse team and our work towards tailoring the employee experience is part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
“We are excited to be connected to other professionals in the industry who care as strongly as we do about this agenda, and benefit from programmes and high-quality learning opportunities. Everyone at Carnival UK should feel valued and that they belong and our new partnership with WiTHL will help us achieve this ambition.”
Jo Philips, Chief People Officer, Carnival UK

WHAT ARE EMPLOYEE-LED NETWORKS?
Employee-led networks are exactly that; networks set up by colleagues of Carnival UK. They have the full support of the business but ultimately they’re by employees, for employees.
At the moment there are three employee-led networks championing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) at Carnival UK. Athena is a network designed to promote gender balance, Spectrum is the LGBT+ & Friends network celebrating the diversity of colleagues and championing the LGBT+ community, and m’power is for disabilities and health conditions.
Whether you can relate to the demographic of a group or not, we encourage everyone at Carnival UK to be a part of the networks. Allies are incredibly important to us and the business will benefit from everyone having their say and taking the opportunity to be part of the inclusion agenda. To get involved you can:
- Attend events – look out for details in the Weekly Update and on The Insider
- Join our facebook groups – ‘Athena @ Carnival UK’ and ‘Spectrum @ Carnival UK’
- Sign up to receive emails from us – email Athena@Carnivalukgroup.com. Spectrum keep in touch with colleagues through their Facebook group, but if you want to contact them directly, you can email LGBTnetwork@carnivalukgroup.com.
- m’power are a new network, still setting up their profile details. Until they do, you can email the network leads directly –
