Last year we rolled out Teams , a collaboration app that helps you stay organised by keeping all conversations in one place. But what’s it all about and how can using it help you get ahead this year? Let’s find out …
Start your day with a quick glance at your activity feed: who said what, when and where. See your mentions and messages all in one place.
Always work from the latest email. Teams’ structures email conversations so less scrolling for the latest message, they’re all grouped in one place.
Share files. While you can use the chat window in Teams to have quick conversations with your colleagues. there’s so much more you can do with it. Need to discuss a file? Just attach it in the chat and then call your colleague to discuss the file straight from the window. Chat integration with other Microsoft products like OneNote and Office means no more switching between apps throughout your conversation.
Improved collaboration and communication. Thanks to the tight integration with Office 365, you don’t need to switch apps when you need to collaborate on a document. You can create the Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document in Teams, immediately share it with your co-workers and then co-author within a blink of an eye. No more sending out different versions through email and the resulting version confusion. You can add comments and to-dos, and chat with your co-workers to discuss the document right there.
Create Meeting with meeting details direct from your Outlook Calendar: When you create a meeting in Outlook, there is a Teams button you can click on which will automatically add a link to your meeting in the invite when you click on it.
Set up your own Teams. Microsoft Teams is the name of the application software – however you can also set up your own Teams channel, for your own department or project. This Team is a collaboration space for everyone involved to chat, share documents and collaborate. To create you own Team channel, you’ll need to complete this form.
