P&O Cruises SHINE service promise focuses on delivering exceptional service to our guests, and as Azura returns to service, our colleagues on board have the opportunity to once again SHINE at what they do best; creating unforgettable holiday happiness.

Not only that, but across the fleet we’ve also seen some brilliant examples of our colleagues delivering exceptional service to each other, including Medori, Receptionist on board Azura.

In July 2021 Medori joined Azura as a Hotel Assistant (HOAS) in the Food and Beverage Team. As Azura’s return to service plans progressed, more colleagues joined the ship which meant that more colleagues entered quarantine on board – colleagues quarantining on embarkation is one of our Covid-19 processes that help keep colleagues fit and well on board.

Medori was tasked with the responsibility of co-ordinating quarantine meals, calling colleagues every day in their cabins to take their orders. She used Azura’s Reception desk as a central point to take on this role and while she was there, started to undertake other jobs as well to aid crew welfare, such as the Crew Shop and logging defects etc.

As Medori played such a supportive role to colleagues while they were staying in their cabins, once they completed their quarantine period they would make it their priority to meet her as she’d been their contact every day!

Medori’s talent for exceptional service and her skills at the Reception Desk were soon spotted by the leadership team on board. They approached her to discuss development opportunities and now Medori is officially part of the guest services team as Receptionist!

Congratulations Medori – a fantastic achievement!
