Last month we ran our Pulse Survey and asked you to tell us what it really feels like working here (the good and the not so good) and to share your thoughts on how we can improve the employee experience for everyone.
The response was absolutely outstanding with 92% of you (Carnival UK colleagues) taking the opportunity to Speak Up and complete the survey.
Thank you so much for this – it truly makes a real difference in helping us to understand your experience of working for Carnival UK and helps us learn more about what we do well and need to hold on to, and of course, the areas where you most feel we need to make improvements.
What matters most to you
As Simon shared in his email last week, we are thrilled to see that our Carnival UK employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is 23, a significant increase from our September 2020 score of 7. (eNPS is tracked in our Pulse Surveys by always including the question – ‘On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend this as a great place to work to a friend or a colleague’).
But the eNPS is just one part of our Pulse Survey. What we also learned is that the vast majority of you felt able to be honest and open in your survey results and that you are proud to work for Carnival UK. On behalf of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), we’re exceptionally proud of how you’ve all faced the challenges of the past year and supported us through such a difficult time.
It’s also hugely encouraging to see that the third highest scoring response is for ‘Carnival UK is committed to health, environment, safety and security’. This commitment is at the heart of our Corporate Vision Statement and our work in this area is absolutely key.
Areas for improvement
For Carnival UK as a whole, the three areas that require the greatest attention are learning from our mistakes, having clear lines of accountability and having opportunities to grow. We want to work with you, through your Employee Experience Groups (EEGs), on the actions we can take to strengthen our work in these areas. Considerations such as clear lines of accountability will also be key for us as we develop ways of working in a hybrid environment.
What next?
Carnival UK and departmental results have been shared with your EEGs so that they can capture suggested actions, specific to you and your wider team, to bring about the changes you want to see.
Thank you again for taking part – look out for updates from your EEG.
