First of all we would like thank those of you who have either put yourself forward or nominated a colleague to take on the role of Employee Representative for our forthcoming collective consultation, planned to start on Monday 8 June 2020.
Given the number of confirmed nominations we have received and the spread of those nominations across the various departments within Corporate Shipbuilding, we have decided to appoint them all as Employee Representatives. As such no ballot process is required.
We’re, therefore, pleased to share that the following people will be your Employee Representatives throughout the collective consultation period:
- Charlotte Green, Senior Manager, PMO & Project Administration
- Eva Lee, Project Analyst
- Nick Roe, Senior Manager, Projects
- Karine Tomlin, Executive Assistant
- Darren Town, Senior Engineer, Electrical
- Matt Waugh, Senior Engineer, Electrical
Please note that the above individuals will be provided with the necessary Employee Representative training on Friday 5 June 2020.
We will add the complete list of Employee Representatives to our pages on The Insider, and further information on the role of your Employee Representative can also be found here.
What happens next?
We recognise that this is an unsettling time for everyone and we’re committed to being as open and transparent about our plans and the way forward as much as possible.
With the Employee Representatives in place, and once the initial collective consultation meeting has taken place on Monday 8 June 2020, we’ll be able to talk to you in greater detail about the business and personal impacts of the proposed changes.
It is our intention to advise all UK employees of the personal impact to them of the proposed changes as soon as possible following the first collective consultation meeting on Monday 8 June 2020.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience while we have worked through the process in the necessary way.
Whilst your Employee Representatives are available to answer any questions that you might have, please note that they won’t receive their formal training until Friday 5 June 2020. So, in the event that they are unable to answer your question, they may direct you to Lucy Davis initially.
