As our business continues to grow we know that it’s important that we continue to make improvement not only to Carnival House, making sure the spaces we use provide a positive and productive environment to work, but also to our external environment, making sure we operate in a sustainable way that makes the most positive impact on our planet too.

We’re doing this through a number of improvements to the way we do things at Carnival House;

Single use items – We use 750,000 single use cups from our vending machines and Atrium Cafe every year at Carnival House and we know that we can all do more to help our planet. That’s why we will be removing all single use cups from our vending machines and the atrium cafe by October 2019. Help us protect our planet by bringing in your own cup from home – however if you prefer we have some free reusable cups in the Atrium ready for you to collect.

Before we remove all single use cups we’ll also be installing dishwashers in all kitchen areas to help keep all cups sparkling clean. Over the coming months we will be working on modifying all kitchen areas to allow for these to be fitted.

Recycling improvements – We’re passionate about supporting our communities and making sure that everything we use causes minimal impact to those around us. To minimise the amount of waste created at Carnival House we encourage and support everyone to recycle. We are pleased to announce that everyone can now recycle milk bottle tops, sweet packets and crisp packets at Carnival House. All bins are located in kitchen areas on every floor.

And it’s not just in Carnival house – across our fleet there’s a lot of great work happening to reduce single use plastics  in particular.

ISO50001 – In quarter 4 2018 we successfully kept our certificate for energy management (ISO50001) . This year we are working to achieve a saving of 1% – a saving that could heat and power a typical UK home for around two and a half years.

    I love the modern building with it’s glass atrium which creates a bright and airy space to work in. Also the colourful banners which remind us why we are here / our goals and behaviours helping us to create “unforgettable holiday happiness”! New ideas for better ways of working are always being tried. Our Carnival colleagues are all so friendly and welcoming – we are like one big family under one roof!

  2. My favourite thing about Carnival House is the atrium because it feels so modern and open and bright. It is a really inviting space to walk into every morning as well as also a really great place to relax in the heart of the building or get some tasty pizza! 😀

  3. Coming from a different company, I am constantly amazed by this building. I love the atrium which welcomes you as if you are on holiday as soon as you walk in, the themed meeting rooms & pods where you can engage with colleagues and the messaging which inspires you to do your best each day!
