Arvia was delighted to welcome representatives from the Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona onboard during a recent call in the city, as part of an important initiative to support overseas voting registration for Filipino seafarers ahead of the Philippine national elections.
Throughout the day, the Consulate team worked tirelessly to assist crew members with the registration process, providing guidance, answering questions and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their dedication made it easier for crew to take part in a vital civic process that can often be challenging to access while working at sea.
97 crew members successfully completed their overseas voting registration during the visit. This strong participation highlights just how important it is to bring these services directly to seafarers, whose busy schedules and time away from home can make opportunities like this difficult to arrange.

Following the positive response from our crew, we’re already looking ahead to arranging another visit in the future – giving even more team members the chance to register and learn about the valuable services the Philippine Consulate can provide.
