Recently, Ventura had the privilege of welcoming a very special group of visitors on board. Crew were delighted to host residents and staff from CAD Sierrallana (Puente San Miguel) – a centre that provides specialist care and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Santander area.

The visit was arranged with support from local port agents, as a way of strengthening community connections and sharing a little of the P&O Cruises experience with those living locally.

From the moment the group stepped on board, it was smiles all round. The highlight of the visit was a tour of the Bridge, where everyone was treated to panoramic views and a behind-the-scenes look at what life at sea is really like.

At Carnival Corporation, we’re committed to enriching the communities in which we operate – working side by side with local partners to create meaningful connections and lasting positive impact. Visits like this are a fantastic example of how our ships and crew can help bring people together, long after our ships have sailed on to their next destination.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this visit so memorable, and to our friends from CAD Sierrallana. If you’ve taken part in an event recently, or you have some news for us, get in touch by submitting your story, here.
