On 19 September, the crew of Queen Anne took a day trip from the historic port of Messina to the slopes of Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano.
The journey began with a scenic 90-minute drive through the Sicilian countryside, leading to a guided tour starting at the first crater. Crew members were then free to explore the area independently, walking trails shaped by past eruptions and the remarkable natural recovery that followed.

The crew had the opportunity to explore the amazing landscapes and learn about the area’s rich history, leaving the site with a newfound appreciation for the world’s most legendary volcano.

They returned to the ship with hearts and cameras full of memories from the amazing day! Another unforgettable experience that makes working at sea so unique.
