Get to know Compass, your new shoreside intranet!

The countdown is on!

Compass is our new SharePoint based intranet, designed to help you navigate your way at Carnival UK. Just like a compass points you in the right direction, our new intranet will ensure you have the tools and information you need at your fingertips!

Compass will be launching in a few week’s time, so let’s take a closer look at what you can expect. 

Features and benefits to explore:

• Navigate ‘your way’ – With a new and improved navigation, you’ll be able to find your way around our new intranet with ease. 
• Super Search – There’s no need to hunt for buried treasure! Quickly find all the tools and information, pages and policies you need via the optimised search bar. You’ll be able to search within pages and policies too.
• NEW Employee Hub ​– A dedicated space and your one-stop shop to find everything you need to know about being a shoreside employee, or line manager, at Carnival UK. From information about pay and benefits, to tools and resources to support your career journey.
• Simplified access to Policies & Guides ​– We’re saying ‘bye-bye’ to The Bridge and will be moving across all policies, procedures and supporting guides to Compass. Whether you’re looking for guidance about time off, your benefits or anything else about working for Carnival UK, you’ll find relevant FAQs, policies, and forms in our new Policies & Procedures section of the Employee Hub.
• Events – Stay up-to-date and add events of interest to your outlook diaries at the click of a button!

Which channel, when?

Launching alongside Compass is Communities – our new employee social network. A place for colleagues from across Carnival UK to come together online, join groups of interest, and connect with others.

Although Compass will replace The Insider and The Bridge, Communities is a brand-new tool for us all to get to know. We’ll be taking a closer look at Communities next week, but for now we’ve created this quick guide to help you understand which channel to use, when.  

How will I access Compass?

Compass will be set as your default homepage when using the Microsoft Edge browser. Once Compass is live you can also save the homepage link to your favourites if you’d rather browse in Chrome.

You’ll be able to access Compass on Mobile too – either via your web browser (you’ll be asked to log in using your CUK Microsoft credentials), or you can download the SharePoint app from the app store, and log in using the same information.

Join us in The Atrium between 10:00 – 13:00 on Wednesday 13 November to celebrate the launch of Compass and Communities!
