First of all thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a colleague for our first round of CCS Star Awards for 2024, we had a total of 13 nominations, with some people receiving two nominations.
It’s great to see so many of you recognising others who are living and breathing our Culture Essentials. It was a tough decision to make but as we announced at the recent town hall, our winners are:
Lucia Racaniello, Senior Inspector in Monfalcone for Respect & Protect, who received two nominations.

Lucia’s exceptional contributions merit recognition for her unwavering commitment to our values of Respect & Protect, Speak Up and Improve.”
“As a result of Lucia’s diligence at delivery of the Sun Princess, she identified an issue that if not found could have generated a very significant environmental issue for the ship, Princess and Carnival Corporation as a whole. Her actions secured part of our Corporate Mission & Purpose to ‘honour the integrity of every ocean we sail’.”

“The team collaborated really well, they respected each other and acted as a really professional and joined up team. They had a good relationship with the Meyer Werft team through the pre-contract negotiations, which were sometimes challenging.
“The team demonstrated a true passion and commitment towards their jobs, to Corporate Shipbuilding and to the Carnival group when working to finalise the specifications and documents. They worked many extra hours, and worked during their holidays, to ensure that Corporate Shipbuilding, and the brand, delivered the required documents on time and to the expected quality.”
