Seabourn was voted ‘Best LGBTQ-friendly Cruise Line’ at The Spartacus Travel Awards, which were held during the International Tourism Fair (ITB) on 6th March 2024.
The event, which took place at the Hotel Orania. Berlin and was supported by TUI and Florida Keys & Key West, was hosted by prominent drag queen Nikita Vegaz, who is well-known from RuPaul’s Drag Race Germany.
A representative from Spartacus said: ‘Seabourn has a decades-long reputation as one of the world’s most exclusive ocean travel companies. Its luxury small-ship fleet offers rare and unique access to the world’s most remote and pristine locations. 2022 the company launched the campaign “This Is Your Moment” driven by real-life travellers with photography and video that also spoke to the LGBTQ+ community with special images from lesbian couples.
A bit about Spartacus

First published in 1970, the Spartacus International Gay Guide app was launched in 2011. The latter currently offers over 20,000 relevant addresses in 126 countries. The travel magazine Spartacus Traveler has been offering German-speaking LGBTQ travellers reports and news about current trends since 2006. The annually updated Spartacus Gay Travel Index has been published for the eighth time since 2012 around the time of the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB) to inform travellers about the situation of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender and queer people (LGBTQ) in a total of 213 countries and regions.
