Continuing to recognise LGBT+ History Month, and to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Spectrum asked colleagues what #LoveIsLove means to them…

“This is me at Southampton Pride 2023 at an event for queer women.  Safe spaces are still imperative for LGBTQ+ people. They’re a place to find community, a place to talk openly with people who have a shared understanding and a place where you don’t have to think twice about being anything other than yourself. I feel lucky that I’ve never felt anything but welcome as a colleague at CUK, both shoreside and on our ships – which I’ve been lucky enough to experience a couple of times this year with my partner!”

Lauren (She/Her)

“12 years of a lot of love, a lot of compromise and a lot of travel!”

David (He/Him)

“While celebrating four years since our first date, in Sindhu on Arvia last year I popped the question and she said yes! We’re now planning our 2025 wedding!”

Em (She/Her)

“We will be celebrating 15 years of marriage at home in August this year, and then three weeks later on Queen Anne”

Tony (He/Him)
