We’ll soon be spending three days a week working from the office and so now is a great time to start thinking about how you’ll make the most out of your in-office days.

Here are few top tips to help get started.

1. Ditch the admin …

…Not forever (sorry!) So, you have more time to be more productive in other ways why not take admin tasks off your in-office to-do list and handle them when you’re working remotely? If you ever have time critical admin tasks to complete while you’re in the office don’t forget you can always use the focus area on floor 2 (South East)  to avoid distractions.

2. Book in some creative thinking sessions

As human beings, we crave social interaction and being part of a group. As many of us discovered during Covid, without it we can become a little reclusive and feel disconnected from our purpose.

While we can have many meetings virtually, creative tasks really benefit from in-person interaction. The sense of belonging we get from collaborating face-to-face helps us build trust and feel more comfortable sharing our thoughts and ideas. Why not have a go at planning an in person creative session in our bookable Ideation space on floor 1 (available via Condeco) or our non-bookable collaboration space on floor 4 (South)  and 2 (North West) to really connect with colleagues and get ideas flowing?

3. Schedule in some socialising

It’s not every day you get paid to chat but taking the time to check in with your team and colleagues around the business is what bonds us and helps us feel like one team with shared goals. Why not make use of our Atrium Café and enjoy lunch with your team or take time to grab a coffee with a colleague in one of our breakout spaces or soft seating area in the Atrium?

4. Network with new faces

Since the last time we were all in the office, we’ve welcomed lots of new colleagues so now’s a great opportunity to put a face to a name. It’s often easy to overlook quick chats in the coffee queue or breakout spaces but they serve as important ways to extend our network and connect with others. If you’re working with someone new why not plan to meet them in person rather than virtually? We have over 84 meeting spaces available at Carnival House for larger meetings or if it’s 1:1 why not make use of our collaboration space on floor 4  (South) or floor 2 (North West).

5. Check in with your team

While many of us enjoy the work life balance that comes from hybrid working, sometimes being away from the office can leave us feeling disconnected. We recommend trying to coordinate a day in the office with your team where you can all come together to check in face to face. Why not schedule your 1:1’s with you line manager when you’re in on that day too? A great opportunity to regularly check in on your personal development and any career goals without any miscommunication that can happen from behind a screen.
