At Carnival UK we want everyone to be able to talk about menopause openly and for our colleagues to be able to access the right support if they need it.

The menopause has always been around, but the changing age of the workforce means that more menopausal people are in work. Even if you aren’t going through menopause yourself, you probably have colleagues, friends and family who are going through it, and it’s helpful to know how to support them.

Here’s a reminder of some of the support available:

Did you know?

8 out of 10 people who are going through the menopause are in work.

Perimenopause, the period of time leading up to the menopause, can start as early as your twenties.

Most people experience menopause between the ages of 45 and 55.

1 in 100 people experience the menopause before the age of 40.

3 in 4 will experience symptoms. But 1 in 4 will have severe symptoms

Not everyone experiences the same symptoms, so it’s important to avoid making assumptions.
