Our SWC (Seafarer’s Welfare Committee) on board our ships regularly organise social events to bring colleagues together and have some fun. Recently the team on Iona presented Dancing on Iona – Dance Battle, a show stopping event encouraging colleagues across the ship to get involved and showcase their best dance moves for the chance to win £500!
HR Officer Joey Carrigan said:
“We had nine acts perform with five solo performances and four groups who danced and showcased their best moves to an excited and animated audience of 300 colleagues.
The event was hosted by Archei and Matt from the Entertainment team who rallied the crowd and brought an incredible sense of fun and team spirit to the event – our very own Iona Ant and Dec!
HR Manager Charles Stewart had the pleasure to award first place and our bespoke Dancing on Iona trophy (made by our very own 1st Carpenter, Roy Perez) and a cheque for £500 to our amazing winners DANCE MACHINE, formed by F&B’s Aaron Maderazo and Jancen Gimena. Congratulations to Aaron and Jancen and all our incredible performers!”
