Our amazing colleagues on board our ships work so hard to create unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests, so it’s fantastic to see them enjoying adventures of their own!

Our SWC (Seafarer’s Welfare Committee) on board regularly organise crew tours for colleagues to experience the fantastic destinations we visit. Check out some of Iona’s crew recently enjoying a visit to the incredible Briksdal Glacier in Olden, Norway…

HR Officer Joey Carrigan said:

“Briksdal glacier is a beautiful place to spend the day and is a very popular destination amongst our guests, so it’s fantastic for our colleagues to experience it too. Located south of the charming village of Olden, inside the Jostedalsbreen National Park, the Briksdal glacier is an arm of the largest glacier in mainland Europe, the Jostedal glacier.

From a height of 1200m, the pristine glacier spectacularly comes down the narrow Briksdalen valley to a small glacial lake, attracting visitors from all over the world. Our colleagues marvelled in all its glory and the tour proved to be such a success that we’re setting up another one soon for those who missed out!”
