We’re delighted to confirm that today, Monday 31 July 2023, at 0900hrs (Italian time), Natalya Leahy, President of Seabourn Cruise Line accepted delivery of Seabourn Pursuit from T.Mariotti in an official handover ceremony at their shipyard in Genoa, Italy.

The ship is due to leave the shipyard tomorrow afternoon to go to Malta to commission its two submarines. She will then enter service on 12 August 2023 starting with a series of cruises around the Mediterranean and the French and Italian Rivieras before repositioning to the Caribbean to begin her expedition itineraries.

Talking about the delivery, Bo-Erik Blomqvist said:

“Whilst Pursuit is considered a sister ship to Venture, we all know that given the complexity of these expedition vessels, that this ship build has come with its own unique set of challenges. So, a huge thank you to everyone involved who persevered to get the ship to the point of delivery, I know it takes a real team effort.

This delivery also marks the closure of our office in Genoa and a wind down of our activities with T.Mariotti. Whilst at this point in time we are able to transfer the majority of the team in Genoa to our other locations to support with ongoing live projects, there are some colleagues who are leaving the Corporate Shipbuilding community either for new adventures or returning to their substantive roles elsewhere in the Corporation. To those colleagues, I wish you all the best for the future.”
