Our Maritime Q2 Culture Essentials Winners
Congratulations to all our Maritime winners and runners up – and to all those who were nominated.
Individual Winner: Ruth Abrahams
Ruth was nominated for rising to the task of maintaining ship operations and ensuring our teams on board remained supported while covering for those on leave or attending refits. Ruth has only been with us for a few months, so it is a true demonstration of how embodying the Culture Essentials of Communicating and Empowering can help our teams ship and shore, no matter how long you’ve been with the company.
Team Winner: Queen Elizabeth Refit Team
The team did an awesome job – from planning to execution. Their nomination captures the Culture Essentials in all their glory; from respecting and protecting the yard in Singapore with HESS-centred meetings, Listening and learning from each other to resolve complexities safely and quickly, to speaking up by encouraging an open dialogue with each other and third parties.
Runner Up: Alan Weeks
Alan was nominated for exemplifying how, by Listening to one another, we can learn and Improve in the way we manage issues as they arise so there is as smaller impact as possible to our people, our ships and our destinations.
Runner Up: Helen Cunningham
You may have heard that CUK was the first in the Corporation to be selected to rollout MAST – Helen led that project from our side; communicating well with stakeholders, empowering others to take decisions and giving teams the right (and new) tools to do their job well, which prompted her nomination from a colleague.
Please continue to celebrate each other and nominate someone now for our Q3 Culture Essentials Awards here.
