As we shared recently, we have developed a Corporate Shipbuilding Sustainability Roadmap that will support the corporation’s 2030 goals and 2050 aspirations.

In our Sustainability Roadmap, we’ve identified four focus areas within Corporate Shipbuilding, which will contribute to the corporation’s 2030 goals and 2050 aspirations, they are:

  • Future Technology Development
  • Building Better Strategies
  • Improve the Supply Chain
  • Inclusivity & Employee Mindset

The full version of our roadmap and more details about the focus areas above can be found here.

Corporate Sustainability Report for 2022
The corporation released the 13th annual sustainability report which can be found in full here: https://carnivalsustainability.com/.

The report is an exciting read. It details the corporation’s industry-leading initiatives and momentum across environmental, social and governance focus areas. It also describes the significant progress made by the company toward its aspirations of carbon neutral operations by 2050 and a circular economy model focused on waste reduction, recycling and management.

Corporate Shipbuilding is taking a leading role in so many of these topics. As you read through the report, take a moment to recognise the massive contribution you are making toward the betterment of our planet.

Sustainability is a key topic for the Corporation and for us within Corporate Shipbuilding. We are fortunate that the collective skills and expertise across our department provides us with real opportunity to contribute to thought leadership and collaborate on developments not only for newbuilds but also the existing fleet.

The Corporate Shipbuilding Sustainability Roadmap is something we can all take ownership of. Please take the time to read, absorb and think about how we can all progress these goals. As always, please reach out to Vera Lannek if you would like to know more about or simply discuss any of these topics.
