As the beachside naming ceremony for our new sunshine ship Arvia draws closer, we’re excited to announce some of the stars who’ll appear at this spectacular event in Barbados.
The special celebration will take place on Thursday 16 March 2023 at 19:00 GMT, with events taking place in Arvia’s SkyDome and at beautiful Heywoods Beach. And the whole event will be streamed live on the P&O Cruises YouTube channel, so you’ll have the chance to join in at home and watch every moment as it unfolds.

Live performance from Olly Murs
Multi-talented singer and TV presenter Olly Murs will get the party going when he performs live at Heywoods Beach on the stunning west coast of Barbados. He’ll treat us to hits from a glittering career that’s spanned seven studio albums – five of which have topped the UK charts.
Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson
Two of Britain’s most popular and well-respected broadcasters, Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson, are set to run the show in Barbados. They’ll introduce all the acts and bring their trademark charisma and charm to the proceedings.
And of course… Arvia’s amazing godmother!
Keep your eyes peeled for when we reveal the identity of Arvia’s amazing godmother, who is also our new entertainment partner. She’s a global star and we couldn’t be more proud to know that she’ll officially name our newest ship when we make history at this spectacular event.
