The foundation for us building our ideal culture at Carnival UK is based on inclusion and the power of diversity.
We have a lot of diversity on board our ships, which is one of the things that makes us great. But it can be hard to manage this without some conscious effort. Our focus on how we do things and the way we work together is so important. It’s essential that we all take the opportunity to learn about each other so everyone feels respected and included.
As we listen to colleagues speaking up, we’re getting to understand more about what we do well, and where we need to improve. One of the themes we’ve heard about is about how we can improve the way we work across cultures.
Whilst we may know a bit about each other’s cultures, there’s always more we can learn and do to make sure that everyone feels respected and included. This includes knowing how we like to communicate, the things that matter across cultures, and the ways we like to work.
